Cookie Policy

Odyon uses a minimal set of cookies: what's strictly needed to keep you signed in, plus optional analytics that only run if you say yes. Here's the complete list — nothing hidden.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser that help websites remember you between visits. This policy also covers similar technologies such as browser local storage, which we use for the same purposes. Odyon uses a deliberately small set of them — described in full below.

2. Essential Cookies & Storage

These are required for Odyon to function and cannot be disabled: — Authentication (Clerk) — session cookies that keep you signed in securely. — Preferences — local storage entries that remember your theme (dark/light) and interface settings. — Consent — a local storage entry ("odyon_cookie_consent") that remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don't ask you on every visit.

3. Analytics (PostHog) — Only After Consent

If — and only if — you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we enable PostHog, our product analytics tool. PostHog then stores identifiers (cookies and local storage entries prefixed "ph_") and captures page views, feature-usage events, and application errors, associated with your account ID, email, and name. Analytics data is hosted in PostHog's EU Cloud and requests are routed through our own domain (a first-party proxy) rather than a third-party tracking domain. Until you consent, no analytics events are captured and no analytics identifiers are persisted on your device.

4. Your Choices

On your first visit you'll see a consent banner with two equal choices: Accept or Reject. Rejecting analytics does not limit any feature of the platform. You can change your mind at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer, which reopens the banner. Switching from Accept to Reject stops analytics capture immediately.

5. Third-Party Cookies

When you sign in, Clerk (our authentication provider) sets its own cookies as described in Section 2. When you purchase a subscription, the checkout is hosted by Lemon Squeezy, which sets its own cookies on its domain under its own privacy policy. Odyon does not run advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers of any kind.

6. Changes & Contact

We may update this Cookie Policy if our tooling changes; significant changes will be announced in-app. Questions: privacy@odyon.ai.
